Mapping the Undercliffs Talk & Exhibition Tour

In 2023 and 2024, I mapped the Undercliffs National Nature Reserve in the strip map style of John Ogliby’s Britannia Road Atlas (1675). The three resulting maps will be exhibited in the Rotunda Gallery in Lyme Regis Museum from 23rd July to 13th September. In this talk, I will explain the processes of on-the-ground strip mapping and share experiences from his year exploring the Undercliff and observing the wildlife there. The talk will be followed by a guided tour of the exhibition with the artist explaining further details of how the maps were created. Museum entry is needed to access the talk and exhibition.
